Garrett Zink serves as Director of Community Impact at Marriott International, where he leads global strategies to help Marriott make a positive and sustainable impact in the communities where it operates. In this role, Garrett oversees programs and partnerships that support Marriott’s community engagement priorities, including humanitarian relief, workforce development, and children’s wellbeing. Garrett also supports Marriott’s sustainability and social impact governance, communications, and reporting, helping Marriott track progress and educate and engage internal and external stakeholders. Prior to Marriott, Garrett was a consultant in the Social Innovation practice of WE Communications, where he advised corporate clients on their sustainability, social impact, and nonprofit initiatives. He has been published in The Baltimore Sun, Philanthropy News Digest, and Maryland Matters and is a graduate of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, where he was a Social Innovation Fellow. He lives in Washington, DC with his wife and daughter.
