Sarah Rovito, National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and MedicineSarah Rovito is the Staff Director of the Strategic Council for Research Excellence, Integrity, and Trust and a Senior Program Officer in the Center for Advancing Science and Technology at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. She supports the Committee on Science, Engineering, Medicine, and Public Policy and served as the Responsible Staff Officer for the “International Talent Programs in the Changing Global Environment” and “Confucius Institutes at U.S. Institutions of Higher Education” consensus studies and the “Rethinking Researcher Assessment and Incentives at U.S. Academic Institutions” and “Reimagining STEMM Graduate Education and Postdoctoral Career Development” workshops. Prior to joining the National Academies, Sarah was the Director of Science & Research Policy at the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, where she led the Public Impact Research Initiative. She was a 2019-2020 IEEE-USA Congressional Fellow in the U.S. House of Representatives and began her career providing systems engineering, project management, strategic planning, and business development support for Department of War clients. Sarah holds graduate degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and The George Washington University.
